In the March 2008 issue of Vogue, Drew Barrymore says she found the role of a lifetime portraying ‚Äö?Ñ??Little Edie‚Äö?Ñ?? Bouvier Beale in HBO’s upcoming production, “Grey Gardens”.
‚Äö?Ñ??Something about learning you can live without everything changes you. All my life, I‚Äö?Ñ?¥ve been waiting and waiting to become a woman, but I always felt like a little girl.
Edie did too, but I think she might have been the thing that made me finally become a woman. I thought for sure it would be a relationship with another human being, a love. Little did I know, it would be a posthumous relationship with… Edith Beale.‚Äö?Ñ??

Drew also spoke about the possibility for doing a third installment in the “Charlie‚Äö?Ñ?¥s Angels” franchise:
‚Äö?Ñ??I‚Äö?Ñ?¥m dying to do a third. Poo (her nickname for Cameron Diaz) and Lucy (Liu) and I talk about it all the time.‚Äö?Ñ??
On what you didn‚Äö?Ñ?¥t know about her:
‚Äö?Ñ??Photography has been my secret hobby and passion for years now.‚Äö?Ñ??
On her transformation from wild child:
‚Äö?Ñ??I think I had some mechanism in my head that said, ‚Äö?Ñ??If you don‚Äö?Ñ?¥t pull it together for yourself, no one else will.‚Äö?Ñ?¥ That‚Äö?Ñ?¥s coming from a person who had to try it all, burn my hand on the stove and party it up.”
On the legendary Barrymore clan:
‚Äö?Ñ??Maybe they were crazy, but they were talented and they were interested and they were passionate about life… I‚Äö?Ñ?¥m proud I come from that circus.‚Äö?Ñ??
