Berry and Bush Triumph at Razzies

From IMDB.com: Movie & TV News @ IMDb.com - WENN

Oscar-winner Halle Berry’s flop Catwoman and President George W. Bush’s government were the big winners at Saturday’s Golden Raspberry Awards.

Berry shocked film fans when she graciously arrived on stage, clutching her Academy Award, to collect her Worst Actress Razzie at the Los Angeles ceremony. Catwoman won four accolades, including Worst Director for Pitof, Worst Picture and Worst Screenplay.

Berry said, “Oh my gosh, oh my God. I never in my life thought that I would be here, winning a Razzie. It’s not like I ever aspired to be here, but thank you. When I was a kid, my mother told me that if you could not be a good loser, then there’s no way you could be a good winner. It was just what my career needed - I was at the top and now I’m at the bottom.”

Meanwhile a host of top Republicans, including Bush, were honored for their ‘performances’ in Michael Moore’s hit documentary Fahrenheit 9/11. The anti-Bush film picked up four accolades including Worst Actor, Worst Supporting Actor for Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld, Worst Supporting Actress for Britney Spears’ cameo and Worst Screen Couple for Bush and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice or his pet goat.

Bush’s California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger was also named Worst Razzie Loser of the Golden Raspberry Award Foundation’s 25 year history, for actors who received the most nominations without ever winning a trophy.

MY WAY, OR ELSE

MADONNA ditched her pal Debi Mazar when Mazar expressed doubts about kabbalah, and now the Material Mom is cutting off family members who won’t follow her spiritual path. Foxnews.com reports Madonna no longer lends a helping hand to brother Christopher Ciccone, who worked for her Maverick Label for years. Nor is she speaking with siblings Martin, Anthony, Paula, Melanie, Mario and Jennifer Ciccone, because they won’t join the mystical movement. Brother Christopher, always the closest to the singer, is said to be “struggling.”

CLUB-KING TATTLE FACES OUSTER

NIGHTLIFE impresario Jeffrey Jah may be forced out by his three partners in Lotus after he blabbed to a Brazilian magazine about celebrities who drink too much, tip too little, and otherwise misbehave at the West 14th Street club.

During a recent trip to Brazil, when Jah was asked by Veja magazine which celebrities drank too much, he divulged he had to send Joaquin Phoenix home once and that Paris Hilton had to be carried out from her own party.

Asked if anyone ever had to be booted from Lotus, Jah, a former male model from Canada, named Courtney Love and Mark Wahlberg ‚Äö?Ѭ¢??‚Äö?Ñ?? twice.

Jah told the magazine he’s had near-altercations with Jay-Z and Sean Combs. And he said that when Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman were married, the couple once had a big fight in the kitchen and went home separately.

Naomi Campbell, Combs and Hilton don’t like to pay their checks, Jah claimed, adding: “My friend Naomi Campbell always wants the best table, even if it’s already taken by other celebrities . . . There are some who won’t be in the same VIP room, like Tobey Maguire, who will not sit near Joaquin Phoenix, or David Blaine, who won’t sit with David Copperfield.”

A publicist for one of the stars mentioned above fumed: “Who is ever going to go to one of those clubs again, if the owner can’t keep his mouth shut?”

Jah’s partners, Mark Baker, David Rabin and Will Regan, were furious. Rabin sent e-mails yesterday to everyone Jah mentioned in the interview, saying: “You have been a good personal friend to all of us for a very, very long time . . . we reject and deeply regret the misleading quote attributed to Jeffrey . . . Although Jeffrey is part of the Lotus team, he is not authorized to speak on behalf of Lotus.”

Last night, PAGE SIX received this statement from Baker, Rabin and Regan: “Jeffrey has offered to resign from the partnership, and we are giving this serious consideration . . . We assure all of our guests that an act of this nature will never occur again.”

Jah added: “I deeply regret my actions and any harm or offense my statements have caused to Lotus’ customers and friends. My partners are understandably furious with me and I apologize for letting them down ‚Äö?Ѭ¢??‚Äö?Ñ?? 100 percent of the responsibility rests with me. I broke every rule in the book regarding privacy of our valued clientele, and for this I am incredibly sorry.”
